The Ateliers Benoist et fils represent the largest part of French heritage in terms of decorations fixed under glass. Their work was carried out over three generations between the years 1860 and 1935. The company was made up of an installer, a letter painter, an apprentice, a florist, a maroufleur, a landscaper, a gilder and a decorator. Other workshops worked like them in this field but also stopped their activity in the 1930s.
